The excitement of driving a motorboat! The thrill of tubing behind a
speedboat! The adventure of exploring beneath the surface with a mask
and snorkel! All these things happen on Lake Days!
In our swim area, water games like Greased Pig and Noodle Jousting
are perennial favorites. Special multi-level instruction is given in
boat handling and safety, and snorkeling. Campers may learn to drive and
dock a motorboat, as well as learn the rules of the waterway. In
snorkeling campers may dive for lake-bottom objects and advance their
skills to reach the “Search and Rescue” technique (used by Lifeguards).
Certificates are awarded in these areas as campers progress in knowledge
and skill level. In all boating activities, campers wear Coast
Guard-approved water ski vests.
