Sierra Adventure Camps
Terms and Conditions
In consideration of the named child(ren) being permitted to participate in Sierra Adventure Camps' (hereinafter "SAC") activities, I, the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren), on my own behalf and on behalf of the child(ren), hereby acknowledge and agree that I understand and accept the following terms and conditions:
1. I recognize that certain hazards and dangers are inherent in the camp activities and events which include, but are not limited to, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, tubing, motorboating, boogie boarding, surfing, snorkeling, lake and ocean swimming, rock climbing, hiking, playing sports and various games, campfires, and the transporting of the child(ren) to and from camp locations. I allow my child(ren) to participate in these and all camp activities knowing there are dangers, risks and hazards in each. I acknowledge that SAC cannot insure nor guarantee that the equipment, premises, public land and facilities, and/or activities will be free of hazards. I understand and certify that my child(ren)'s participation in SAC and its activities are completely voluntary. I allow my child(ren) to fully participate in all camp activities except as noted in writing.
2. Any questions I may have had about the activities, policies and operations of SAC have been answered to my satisfaction.
3. On behalf of my child(ren) I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, loss, or damage that may be sustained and release and discharge SAC, its employees, officers, agents, and staff from all loss or damage and from any claim or demand on account of death or injury.
4. I agree to hold harmless, indemnify, and defend SAC, its officers, employees, agents, and staff for and from all liability, claims, expenses, demands, fees, judgments, and/or damages arising directly or indirectly from my child(ren)'s participation in camp programs or anytime the child(ren) is on the premises of camp program locations, save and except claims arising out of the sole willful misconduct of SAC. I will reimburse the named above for all expenses including reasonable attorney fees for all such claims made.
5. If SAC, in its judgment believes my child requires medical attention, SAC has my authorization to obtain such medical care from a licensed hospital or physician, as SAC deems necessary. I shall be responsible for all physicians, hospital, and related costs so incurred.
6. I understand SAC is not responsible for clothing or equipment loss or damage.
7. SAC may use my child(ren)'s photograph/likeness in promotional material including brochure, newsletters, website, etc.
8. I have read, understand, and agree to the cancellation policy and rescheduling of missed days policy prior to enrolling. See information below.
SCHEDULE CHANGES (WATERSPORTS DAY CAMP)
Rescheduling Missed Days • Absences • Etc.: Although we make every effort to accommodate absent campers, we do not guarantee that you will be able to reschedule missed days. Campers who miss their regularly scheduled day for any reason (vacation, illness, other) may reschedule the days missed as follows:
1. Requests for a rescheduled day made prior to May 1, in writing, may be requested at no charge. After May 1, a $20 fee for each rescheduled day will be charged per child. There are only two (2) requests for rescheduled days allowed per child.
2. Requested rescheduled days are not guaranteed. The rescheduled day cannot be confirmed until one week prior due to transportation and group size.
3. Space must be available in the group and on the route.
4. We are unable to fill spaces vacated by campers at the last minute or within 48 hours. Therefore missed days may not be rescheduled if the office has not been notified 48 hours prior.
5. There is no refund or credit for days missed.
ENROLLMENT CHANGES:
Changes made to the enrollment (i.e. changing days or weeks) without reducing number of days may be made at no additional charge through May 1, on a space available basis. After May 1, a $20.00 fee will be charged per change. Enrollment changes after June 1 will be charged a $75.00 fee per child.
CANCELLATION:
If written registration cancellation is received by April 1, all tuition less a $150 reserved space cancellation fee shall be refunded. Partial enrollment cancellations (i.e. reducing camper weeks or days), will be refunded all tuition except a $75 reserved space cancellation fee. Registration cancellation, received in writing, by June 1 will be refunded all tuition except the $300 reserved space cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations after June 1. There is no refund for a camper's time off, family vacations, illness, special events or anything else that necessitates your child missing camp once registered. FUEL SURCHARGE: Fuel prices have been very volatile the past few years and have historically been at their highest during the summer months. We will absorb the increases where we can. If fuel prices are extremely high to the point we cannot absorb the increase, it will be necessary to assess a fuel surcharge (not to exceed $4 per day). Upon invoice, you agree to pay any fuel surcharge imposed by Sierra Adventure Camps, regardless of when assessed.
ACTIVITY, STAFF, LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION CHANGES:
We make every effort to adhere to the planned activities, activity locations, and transportation stops and schedules. Sometimes, however, events beyond our control necessitate changes which cannot be predicted beforehand. Accordingly, the camp reserves the right to make activity, staff, program location, and transportation changes at its discretion without limitation or prior notice. There will be no refunds, credits, or tuition reductions should any such change(s) occur.
